Boo at the Zoo
Looking for a spooky event that the whole family can enjoy? Head to The Smithsonian’s National Zoo for Boo at the Zoo from 5:30-8:30pm on October 18-20. Enjoy after-hours access to many animal houses and exhibits, as well as over 40 treat stations. There will also be Halloween decorated trails, live entertainment, a kids’ dance party and karaoke. Night of the Living Zoo
This festive event is Boo at the Zoo, but with an adult twist. Night of the Living Zoo is a 21 and older event at The Smithsonian’s National Zoo from 7-10:30pm on October 25th. Indulge in tasty eats from local food trucks and craft beers throughout the night. With live entertainment, amazing oddities and the annual costume contest, this is sure to become your group’s new favorite Halloween tradition.
Air & Scare at the National Air and Space Museum
Elevate the way you trick-or-treat at Air & Scare at the National Air and Space Museum on October 26th from 12-5:30pm. This annual indoor event is the perfect place to wear your favorite costume and trick-or-treat with other characters. Along with candy, enjoy wacky science experiments and creepy crafts. Trick-or-Treating at Mount Vernon
Experience Halloween, D.C. style. On October 26th from 3:30-6:30pm, get dressed in your costume and head to George Washington’s Mount Vernon for some unique trick-or-treating. Enjoy a scavenger hunt, craft-making, wagon rides, chocolate-making demonstrations and a children’s costume parade. Prizes will also be awarded for the best George and Martha Washington costumes. Nightmare on M Street
Who wouldn’t want to be a part of D.C.’s biggest and best Halloween bar crawl? On October 26th from 1-9pm, check out this giant costume party with your friends. Hit the streets dressed in your costume and take a stroll to different bars in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. Along the way, take advantage of select food and drink specials at different locations.
